The Face of Battle is an advanced tactical game that covers all aspects of WW2 skirmish miniatures gaming, from infantry to tanks, raw to elite. The players command their forces with numerous combat, tactical and game options, utilizing skill rather than blind chance. Like soldiers on the battlefield, players make decisions under pressure.
The Face of Battle WW2 Miniatures game simulates the action that occurs during the peak of battle – the moments of sheer terror, panic, bravery, and intense combat. The game is fast, fun and exciting to play. Players are always involved in the action during the game. The rules are very comprehensive, but easy to learn. The game includes more than 220 pages of rules and supporting chapters, 20 reference charts, 1500 counters on 5 templates, 225 cards on 15 templates, 6 scenarios, generic weapon data for all nations, over 230 German and Russian vehicles, equipment lists, TO&E, and much more. The book also includes the Game Construction Kit, a set of rules covering sequence, action and activity. This allows a variety of playing styles, from quick pick-up games to very detailed tactical combat. The game comes with six scenarios: 4 general and 2 historical. The scenarios are designed using a graduated learning process so players can begin gaming with only a quick read of the rules. This game is designed with a good balance of historical accuracy and game play. The rules include German and Russian forces, with generic data for other nations. Future expansion packs cover the United States, the Commonwealth and Axis and Allied minor forces. The game is complete, exciting and fun to play. |
